The deal was officially announced Thursday (10/09/2015) following a leak when Israeli publications reported a rumour of an IronSource/Supersonic merger.
The two companies have generated about $450 million in revenue thus far in 2015. IronSource recently completed two rounds of venture funding – $85 million in September 2014 followed by $20 million five months later. The company is on the verge of preparing for an IPO.
Supersonic has tripled its revenues every year and has grown to more than 250 employees.
Supersonic’s video platform is being used by publishers such as Electronic Arts, Kongregate, Gree, Pocket Gems, Pretty Simple, Social Point, and DeNA.
The two companies will work on new product roadmap in the coming months.
